Just been watching that. Fun video, nice dig at TGP and the merch joke at the very end.

Though I’m not a fan of Joe, I thought he came across really well. I much prefer him talking about/demoing gear, than watching him in concert videos.

Agreed he comes across as a real enthusiast.  I can't think of many other A-list guitarists who would turn up for an hour for a niche youtube show.

That was great. Covered a lot of ground.
This could be a 200 page thread but probably won't be.

  • Really enjoyed that.  But then, being 'of a certain age' I suppose I would.  Not a massive JB (music) fan but can't help liking the guy.  As someone who had a few lessons from the great Danny Gatton he can't be all bad.  I think I still have an early recording of him playing with Bloodline, and there is some very tastey fretwork on that album.

Doug and Pat are, as always, very entertaining.
    No Darling....I've had that ages.

  • Good viewing. Thanks for posting.

It's always a bit of a relief to see guitars of that stature in the right hands.

I could watch Pat & Doug all day.... I’ve watched this one twice... I love it, Doug is sat there thinking ‘How the hell is he getting those sounds out of my guitar and amp :)

I really enjoyed this, he has a very well balanced perspective on gear (i.e he's a gear nerd, but understands that you can get great results without spending lots of money).

It's also good he gets across the idea that you have to work at it, not spend money to get a great tone. I don't like his music, but obviously, he's a great player and comes across really well.
