    The Custom Builders get closer than Gibson in recreating the tone of the Vintage Les Pauls for less money than you'd pay for a VOS Gibson

    one of the worst sounding LPs was an aged custom shop Gibson with ox4 pickups, just bloody awful and some idiot paid 6k second hand for it, i didn't play it more than 5 minutes

    Goes to show not even boutique pickups will sort a shit guitar out
