FS 1981 Gibson The Paul Firebrand Deluxe With Factory Tim Shaw Pickups

Traded this with a friend a while back and he is now looking to sell as he wants a 2019 Gibson Flying V so I am bumping this one up on his behalf. I will leave all the original content but for the asking price and my trade options as these are no longer relevant.

Gibson have recently decided these are worthy of a reissue model but here is an original in nice original condition except for an added guard and new switch tip. This is the mahogany body version which has some wear consistent with age as you would expect but the big attraction here is the factory fitted Tim Shaw pickups. Usual checks to verify these are Shaws have been carried out i.e. stamps, white spacers, rough cast magnets and both read 7.2ohms

Nice, I love natural finish guitars and own a '78 The Paul. Always wanted to add a Firebrand to the hoard. Piggy bank says no unfortunately

Mmm..I had a Firebrand many years ago, don think it was The Paul version....was there another ?

There was a solid body ES335 Firebrand as well as the SG and Les Paul.

There was indeed another - I had one! Simply called The Firebrand, the Gibson logo was burned in to the headstock with a branding iron.

@EricTheWeary Afraid to say I had to google that one but sure I’m in the minority lol. There is also the Tim Shaw radio DJ who choked on a sausage and annoys his wife so much she put his Lotus on eBay at 50p buy it now. Wonder who picked that deal up!!!
