What's Hot

I've bought a used PXL Live which came with Velcro on the bottom. Problem is, it's the loop part of Velcro whereas I need the loop side putting on. The velcro is proving really hard to remove. Any tips?

Warm it up with a hairdryer first.

The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

Any solvent apart from acetone, unless you want to strip the paint off the pedal.

I mostly use lighter fuel for jobs like this.  Always clean pedal bases with it first belore fitting Velcro.

I also have adhesive remover, but this can strip paint from plastic (pedal battery covers), and I’ve actually seen it remove paints from a pedal, so use this rarely, sparingly, and carefully.
