    Mustang is short scale. Some - but not all - versions of the Squier Jaguar are short scale. Is it definitely a short scale bass guitar that you require?

    @Funkfingers - it's for a friend of mine, he's not overly fussed about scale length as he's used to both, but likes the body styles.

    His preference is for a jaguar-style if one came up

    There was a *censored* Bass on eBay earlier this week, at a very reasonable starting price. I would have snaffled it myself but for the prohibitive expense of travelling to collect in person. By now, it may have been re-listed.
