Fantastic guitar, bought from this forum last week.

I was hoping to replace one of my Bartlett 59 with this one but i cant bring myself to sell my Bartlett.

This has the best fret board i have ever seen on any Gibson.

Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop Collectors Choice #26 Whitford Burst with Upgrades. Amazing replica of Brad Whitfords 1959 Les Paul. Bought new by myself from Anderton’s in June 2014. Had a choice of 4 CC models ( Redeye, Louis and another Whitford ) but this one was 100% love at first sight. It played and felt absolutely spot on. Beautiful 3D flame and grain on the maple top , weighs dead on 9lbs on my digital scales. Amazing dark rosewood fretboard that looks just like the original Brazilian boards used back in the day. Incredible relic job on this also. I have upgraded the pickups to OX4 low winds ( double creams ) and put a set of vintage correct shape Montreaux Time Machine PAF covers on them . Also has real buyturite bone coloured pickup rings and vintage style true taper ( VTT ) pots from Crazy Parts in Germany. NOS vintage Russian military 0.022uF paper in oil caps have also been installed. I do not have the original parts that I took out for the upgrades ( except the plastic pickup surrounds ). These were all sold on to offset the cost of upgrading the original parts. Comes with original case,case candy and original shipping carton.

That was mine originally , great guitar but I swapped the pickups out as the neck was a bit too muddy for my liking , I think there were OX4’s in it when I sold it, bought it new from Andertons in 2015. I’ve seen it pop up on eBay once since Sherpa Man sold it on a few years back but it could have been a scammer as when I contacted the seller the listing disappeared instantly. It was advertised at 3K which I thought was too good to be true. It’s been replaced now by this Murphy Lab Ultra Heavy Aged

@Beano that’s a killer new guitar. I have a love/hate relationship with relics, but that one is tastefully done. Nice dark fretboard too. 

@sherpa_man any idea if someone on here still has this or where it’s at? Long shot but worth asking!
