I spent the week of my 50th birthday in a rather lovely converted old school house in a blink-and-you-miss-it village called Holcombe, near Radstock. The place names round there are only matched by the local accents for entertainment value

The offending item is a 2015 Les Paul Traditional, which, thanks to the the good ship @guitars4you and YouTube, I know is something of a polariser of opinion amongst Gibson purists. Then chuck an Ocean Blue finish into the mix and I am sure this won't be particularly popular amongst the more traditional Gibson fans!

Luckily, for me, I got into guitars only in the last few years and have never played a Les Paul, so I went in with a completely open mind in regards to what a LP should look like, feel like and what it should/shouldn't have on it!

When I saw this one up for sale online it was game over. Someone could have told me it was cursed and I would have found it hard to pass on it, I took one look at it and said 



So, here we are!







Despite not knowing much about Gibson heritage, the one thing I really wasn't keen on was the idea of robotic tuners. So when I read that they had been removed and replaced it made the decision even easier!
