    Beautiful guitar. I've played nothing else since I got mine (also a '61). Fabulous guitars, the sound of that pickup is sublime. Yours looks like a 2 tone sunburst, my version has 3 tone.

    Yes, flats really suit the 125. I tried roundwounds and they were really squeaky. Flats bring out the best in the pickup, or is it vice versa? Either way, I've been gas free since getting one.

    Lovely, that. I've got the full body ES-125 (a 1955 one) - it's on the left of the pic, and have had roundwounds on it since I had it. I put D'Addario Chromes (11-52, I think) on it this week, and.... wow! Made all the difference. It honks away like a good 'un, and the flatwounds have really bought it's character out.
