A 2009 Honda Civic 2.2 ES in pale blue metallic (yes, @welshboyo, it is)

The only negatives I can find on it are the AirCon doesn't work, but he's sorting that, there is a little bit of peeling clear coat on the NSF wing, the plastic headlamp covers have gone a little milky and need a polish, the NSF bumper / body panel is a bit loose and hangs about 1/2" low. (Probably low speed bump into a wall or something). I'll sort that myself.
Lastly, the clutch bites in the last inch of pedal travel - at the bottom, not the top. i.e. you've got to push the pedal to the floor to change gear. It's hydraulic so that could be leaky cylinder rubbers. I can't work out in my head if that could be a symptom of a friction plate on its last legs or not.... You would expect a cable clutch on its way out to start to slip and the biting point to move higher but I'm too tired right now to work out what a self-adjusting hydraulic clutch does. Either way, I can fix it if it needs it.
It handles well, keeps a straight line with no hands on the wheel and under moderate braking.
It's also under the Autotrader valuation lower price point.
It's not perfect, but, considering the mobile farmyard with the brakes from the bottom of the ocean was the same price and had bald Chinese tyres, no service history for the past nine years, no oil or clutch fluid, I think I've found a decent example.

That’s a good thing.

So, no chance of this getting to 100 pages then?
Looks like a nice tidy car. Agree 101% that the tyres are a *very* good sign. And a 2.2 engine in something that size should mean that it moves along nicely.
Happy Ending!
Congrats.
Promising though!
That private plate should be worth a few quid
Joking aside I’ve seen lots of higher mileage Accords on Autotrader with the same engine, so I take that as a reassuring. Along with the tyres, which will be the new yardstick for if/when I change car myself!
Congrats mate...at the risk of being premature!
