Yeah those are cool - Billy Sheehan has one I'm sure (used to have a book with a picture of him playing it)

I have a Stage 1 5 string but no room in the pic.
I know this problem. I refer to my Streamer Stage 1 five string as the aircraft carrier.

Bartolinis sound like an interesting idea. My SS1 has Duncan Phase 1 narrow  pickups.

I am still trying to figure out after a year and a half if I like the broad neck. I usually just put in the time and my hand will adjust to the instrument but this is different.

Three of my Warwicks have Bartolinis. I know some people find them dark sounding but I really like them. And the fretless Thumb sounds perfect with them. Again that’s the combination of all components.

Essential for some moves. A royal pain for others.

My brother took all of five seconds to go from grinning at the prospect of trying my SS1 to flatly refusing to make any effort to accommodate its string spacing.

From the sublime to the ...cheap and cheerful. Here's my old Yamaha BB614. Really enjoying playing this at the moment. Am considering upgrading the active eq (because I keep reading how bad it is) or maybe converting it to passive as I only ever roll off the treble for a more doofy sound. I quite like the look of the Gotoh high mass bridge too. That said, the Classic Vibe 60s Jazz looks tempting.

Watch out, Gibson will sue you for nicking the Dusk Tiger pickguard!

Thank you! It is rather nice and sounds great too.

Don't know that much about them really - most of the Star Basses I see have twin pickups. I think mine must be a humbucker of some kind as it has a blend knob which sweeps through passive tonal options.
