Expert advice please: I would very much like to upgrade the bridge on my Burny Les Paul

This is the nicest sounding Les Paul that I own - even though it's a 2005 (approx) 'Made in China' job...

A pair of '57 Classics and refretted with Stainless Steel jumbo frets too...

It has what seems to be a Nashville Style bridge - or could it be a metric one?

The Stud spacing is approximately 73.8mm

What would be the best and simplest upgrade please?

Expert advice deeply appreciated...

All Nashville style bridges are metric (that I know of) the originals were made by Schaller and they used a 5 mm metric thread for the posts and body bushings.

So a Schaller GTM would be the simplest exact swap to make it the original Nashville bridge, or there's the TonePros T3BP which is a Nashville style bridge with locking posts

Thanks Neil - and if I wanted to go with an ABR-1 style narrower bridge?

Also - I suspect not, but will I also need to swap out the tail piece too?

If you wanted to go with an ABR-1, either the Faber ABRM or Gotoh GE104B would fit straight on to the existing Nashville posts. You shouldn't need to swap the tailpiece if you don't want to.
