Invisible icons & other peculiarities

Since yesterday at some point, the icons for 'notifications' ; 'inbox' & 'account options' have become invisible on my FB home page.
They haven't disappeared, as the functionality is still there & hovering over the space reveals the titles.
 Only the icons have vanished & yet the 'bookmarks' icon remains visible.

Also, while composing this, I tried to embed a screen grab to show the issue, but I can't, despite having done so many times before.
Click on the 'attach image/file' icon, paste url into box, box disappears, no image.
Hmmm, weird.

Mac OS 10.11.06, Chrome Version 75.0.3770.100.

I believe this is probably a Chrome update issue, as when using Safari on the same machine the site is displaying fine.

Just thought I'd raise this in case it might help any other users experiencing similar glitches.

I’ve moved this to help & feedback - but yes, it’s a chrome issue I’d say

No worries. Chrome causes me all sorts of issues on the Mac. I ditched it a while back

Its been generally fairly stable & cool running for me, but it does have a lot of 'features'.
Confirmation 'smoking gun', using Safari to add image ...

Bloody hell, its worse than I thought.
I just went & viewed the thread... 
Chrome has been adding the sodding images, but not displaying them, even when previewing the post  

Sorry for appearing to be a sausage fingered loon, but I had no clue that this was happening.

It's fine - not your fault. In fact, it's mine....SSL issues. Will fix when I get home.

Actually, I tell a lie - it's working fine here, and there aren't any direct references to non-HTTPS sources.
