Expectation/internet "wisdom", not experience.  Thankfully I'm safe now, anyway, since it's sold.

I wouldn't let the internet stop you from getting a guitar you like the look of @bodhi I used to boycott anything that wasnt 9.5, med/jumbo etc, until I owned a few American vintage fenders and had them professionally dressed. A 7.25" radius doesn't mean you can't have a low action, it just lessens the chance of being able to lower the action without choking on one that hasn't been dressed. Vintage frets are also far les noticable on rosewood than lacquered maple imo.

You should definitely make time to go and play a 7.25 tele. Despite being the subject for volumes of internet chat, it’s a total non event for the most part. What’s going on round the back of the neck will have a far bigger influence on whether a guitar feels comfortable to you and plays how you like it to.

agreed, 7.25" is for the most part overblown internet topic. Try it.

My Strat has a 7.25 radius, and it more or less plays itself.
