    I have got fat old Tokai buttons on my main strat, and those annoying 80s Ibanez wing ones on my backup these days though (both of which pull out of the wood at the tail end if I'm not paying attention and have been epoxied back in more times than I'd like to admit).
    That's because you're using epoxy.

    If you put wood glue in the hole, then pack it tightly with toothpicks, then put the screw back in immediately with the glue still wet, you won't need to do it again.

    Although if the holes are full of old epoxy it may be too late for that now...
