Withdrawn - SC Relics T Guitar

edited November 2019 in Guitars £

For sale is my SC Relics T style guitar. This is a full build from SC Relics, so the guitar was delivered expertly setup. It plays like a dream and has the most stunning aging as shown in the photos. This guitar is practically brand new and only played a handful of times. I am sure I don't to say how incredible Scott's work is but I think this one is a bit special - easily up there with custom shop guitars for quality, finish and playability. The guitar is very resonant and light at 7.1 lbs.

Ash body
Nitro two tone sunburst finish - aged
Modern C neck profile with a 9.5″ radius and medium jumbo frets in rosewood
Gotoh hardware throughout
CRL switches
CTS pots
Switchcraft jacks
Bone nut
UK made pickups by Alegree, Cirrostratus
Paper in oil caps with treble bleeds
Cloth push back wiring
Gator hardcase

No trades, need the money.

£1,050, UPDATE Now £950 delivered mainland UK
Final price drop to £875 delivered. That's the lowest I can go.

Seems as though you’ve attracted the guys who can’t communicate their disdain in English without being hit with the “don’t be a dick rule”. On the plus side, your fret count is up. Albeit it via obnoxious LOLs.

    Well I gave it a wow. It’s a beauty.

Got to ask, does this mean my SC is still your number 1?

Let's be fair, we all know what is implied by the lols.
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

Lovely looking guitar, and that aged craze finish is gorgeous. GLWTS.

  • Maybe the LOLs in this case are because Onpar has had to move it on so quickly - most of us have done something similar though when finances bite. Bearing in mind it's up for pretty much 2/3 rds of the new price it seems fair to me.

    Lovely looking thing.

Absolutely @DrCornelius and we all know the quality of these.

Wish I had the funds to take it of @Onpar hands, particularly as he was good enough to take mine when I put it up for sale.

Yes. It was very close but I'm just attached to it after gigging it so much and used to it, kinda like an old pair of slippers. Scott's work is on another level now though, this is a stunning stunning guitar. If I could afford to keep it I would but I need to raise some money and have 5 guitars for sale at the moment.

Know the feeling well @onpar, and I’m kind of proud that you are still digging my one.

Unfortunately, the rummage around the back of the sofa only turned up pennies, dust and my daughters hair bobbles my end. Would love this, looks so good.

Do hope enough of your gear sells that you get to keep this one.

    What is the weight?
Very light and very resonant. We were a aiming for just under 7lbs. I don't have any scales at home but this is light and probably is around 7lb or under.

Are the neck and body made in house or are they licensed parts?

Licensed parts. SC Relics use high quality parts for spraying and aging.

Slightly off topic but I'm thinking of putting those pickups in my AVRI52.  Any comments?
