old news?.. http://dod.com/en-US/products/envelope-filter-440-2014

with and added up/down 'voice' switch. i think i'll be getting one if the price isn't too crazy. the 201 Phasor seems to be going for £80, so if it's at that price i'm definitely in.

YES! This could be a replacement for the Qtron.

I'll be definitely getting one. Where would the be the best place for one of these in the chain? Up front like a wah?

Yes, usually. You want it where it can respond to your picking dynamics, so you don't really want it after a compressor or a dirt pedal… although that can give a drastic, on/off type of sound so you might like it!

Looks interesting with the up/down switch but I can't see it replacing my old FX25...

First in line. It needs all the picking dynamics.

I'm an envelope filter junkie so I'll probably get one too!

I’m so bored I might as well be listening to Pink Floyd

Thanks chaps. I'll be buying it for sonic experimentation but I'll end up just playing Paranoid Android over and over and over

What are your 3-5 favourite filter pedals then ? I got a Moog low pass filter a few years ago and havent loomed back.

Underrated effect in my opinion. Really getting into mine on my möbius.

  • I love my T-rex sensewah, more for the yoy-yoy setting than anything else because it's quite different. You can bag one for about £35 on ebay which is a steal, especially considering they originally cost £150...

Wow I love that keeley pedal. Couldn't pay that for it though for the time I'll actually use it in my set.

I've got an original 70s script logo MXR Envelope Filter and it's good at doing one thing very well but I need something with a little more versatility (the Keeley looks ideal).

If I didn't have an auto wah on my mobius already I probably could warrant myself getting a keeley. Mobius is fine for what I need for the time being – However long that is:)

My MXR fetches a pretty price and they're sought after (I have a potential, serious buyer) so I may see who's got the Keeleys in for try out or if they're only available from the US.
Edit: Guitar Guitar have them in stock - £155

Of course another great contender is the Mad Professor Snow White. Used to have one but sold it to someone here. I just didn't use it enough, as would be the Keeley, to warrant the expense :(
