A Gold (non-awful) Jazzmaster Tremolo?

To those of you in the know, where might I procure a good jazzmaster trem unit in gold? Not flimsy pish, one that is built properly.

There are a few on eBay, but it's hard to tell good from guff

I got one from eBay, papa d's. It's good quality, but it doesn't have the lock.

None do, fender don't seem to do one either.

Ah cheers; id seen those and was hoping someone would endorse them. Promptly ordered!

A lot of the cheaper ones are fine if you upgrade the spring. You can get one of the AVRI
springs for about a fiver from Allparts iirc and it makes a world of difference.

Fender do a gold Jazz/jag trem/vibrato, it can be seen on the MIJ blonde ash JM.

I have seen them on ebay. Maybe try ebay.com ?

Oh, I've never seen one, I tried writing to Allparts USA who said they didn't exist - even on the Fender catalogue, there is only chrome.  Maybe it was a limited run for that one guitar?
