I know it shouldn't matter.

After all, we all have our own peculiar talents and talent is more important than fame, but .......

....... are there any real, bonafide rock stars on this forum? Are we chatting with rock gods and we don't even know it? Is The Edge masquerading as JimSplin69 and we haven't even realised?

Just a thought!

I'm awaiting many, many posts saying Me.

I was thinking how @Herbie never posts anymore and  he was on Come Dine With Me with his band once and that's pretty darn famous.

There are a bunch of working musicians, but I don't think we have a 'star' per se.

Back on MR, we used to have Jon Gomm (before the Stephen Fry incident). I invited him over here, but I suspect he's rather too busy to spend time in a temporal black hole like this place ;)

Biggish ( page, maybe) article in Guitar Player a couple of months back on him. I've seen him mentioned before but not a magazine article just about him, so that's fairly high ranking.

David Mead used to pop up regularly on MR , pretty much just to flog stuff but he is well known in guitar circles for his books.I suspect with a bit of persuasion he could pop up on here, although I doubt he would contribute much TBH.

@Clarky is a pro guitarist, playing in the David Cross band.

There's one or two others who play in touring bands.

Timmysoft for example - remember that awesome vid and song of a bloke having a fight with his girlfriend's lover?

Who was it on here (or maybe MR) who played guitar with Take That?

Didn't Paul Gilbert turn up for a week in the old Intermusic days?

Over on Basschat Guy Pratt showed up, managed to patronise a few people and promptly got told to shove it.

I’m so bored I might as well be listening to Pink Floyd

Not known as a musician, but Jane Goodman's appearance on Intermusic was the stuff of legend.

She wrote some bits for Total Guitar ages ago, iirc.

She's better known as Jonathan Ross's missus and half of the pair behind Kick Ass, X-men First Class, and probably some other stuff I'm not aware she did.

I supported the Undertones on their first UK tour... so I'm famous by proxy.

I thought she was the blonde who was into gorillas.  But clearly not her.

I've met Jane Goodman a few times ....

There were a few in ye olde days on the pre-MusicRadar forum.

Remember, it's easier to criticise than create!

    Think that's Kate Humble....

Not sure 'into' is quite the right terminology though....
