particularly interested in colouration (hopefully lack of it)

My experiences based on having it in my hands for a week (borrowed):

It's a good if basic delay. It's not a bells and whistles device. 

Colouration? Yes. There's quite a few mentions online about modding the pedal with different chips and caps. 

Ultimately it's a clean analog pedal. It was nice to try out but I wouldn't rush to pick one up.

So you want a stunningly good delay with no colour. To me, a delay is about colouration, whether it's a tape echo, DMM, or any of the popular ones. An uncoloured delay pedal suggests to me that you should go digital.

I had one.

It was okay, but nothing special. One delay with two sets of controls.

Not a huge amount of character for an analog unit, so not much 'colour' at all.

If you want no colour, the boss dd-3 is pretty great. Analogue dry through, and some pretty pristine delay sounds

I'd definitely go analogue for extra colour. Malekko do a dark one I want...
