The nearest thing they’ve done recently is the RG2560 which has a scratchplate. They are often on EBay & Gumtree etc.

I really want that, but I can't afford it at the moment... I saw on the listing you're putting it in storage. I have a spare wall-hanger you're more than welcome to use
What about the cheaper Ibanez Andy Timmons model, the AT10P (if still available)?
It's sunburst, so not very metal, but it is HSS, with a traditional trem and shaped liked an RG.
On a side note and a similar note, has anyone ever tried one of these? Washburn parralaxe M160?

I haven't played that model, but I played one of the FR pointy headstock ones a couple of years ago in Nottingham and it was very nice. I believe the Parallaxe stuff was designed with Ola Englund (who then went on to do Solar Guitars). I've heard lots of good things about Solar
Thanks, I'm quite proud of that one.
