I bought these recently with the intention of building my own Redwing Tornado guitar.
However, I realise that the guitar body needs a bit more prep than I'd anticipated and I'm not going to have time to complete it - hence offering it for sale here.
If you're not aware, Redwing was the company that Patrick started after he sold Patrick Eggle Guitars, and continued his career in building world class guitars. You can see what a factory finished Tornado looks like here: http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/large/105/px-G15ES2322.jpg
However, this is not a factory finished model, it's simply a 'new old stock' body and neck that were left over when Patrick concluded the company.
As you'll see for the pictures, neither the body or the neck have been used (no bridge or scratch plate screw holes, no nut, no tuners ever fitted). However, it's by no means mint... the neck / headstock has picked up some small dings over the years of storage - none of which are very significant and a light sand should resolve all but the worst. The body also has a few dings around the edges and a very small crack (2-3mm) on the treble side of the neck pocket. The paintwork is a bit rough, especially around the edges. To get the body looking really good, I think you'd either need to strip it and try to sand away the bulk of the dings, or fill the dings and then refinish.

Pedals, cheap bass or anything else?
Neck still available.
Any intel on the fingerboard radius, fret size, neck depth or shape ?
Also from the pics of the body it looks like a stock 56mm wide Strat style neck pocket, would that be right, ?
Cheers
Rob
Good questions Rob...
I don't have the tools to give you exact info, but here's how I would describe it:
Frets are medium on a gently curved fingerboard. Neck profile is a 'c' shape, but feels less bulky in the hand than a modern Strat and is about 44mm wide at the nut. Neck depth is about 19-20mm at the nut.
You're right about the heel width - 56mm.
Since my last post, I've wire wool'd the neck leaving it silky smooth, removed the decals (which were not original anyway) and given the frets a polish, plus lemon oil to the f'board. As a result, the condition is now better than I originally described with just a few minor nicks and some slight evidence from where the decals had been.
I'll get some revised pictures up here soon.
As promised, here are some revised pictures that give a better idea of the neck as it is now....
