Dave Peacock (of Chas and Dave) bass is pretty knackered - under his playing hand it's worn down like a saucer

Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

  • Pete Shelley's Starway springs to mind.

  • In view of some people’s attitude to knocks and dings on guitars especially when buying that’s every guitar ever used on stage!

  • +1 Mark Farner!  I had all the early GF albums and always wondered what that guitar was.

To add to the list, Gilmour's "Workmate" Telecaster and Sting's '57 Precision are pretty beaten up.

    Some of Seasick Steve's gear...
Mostly fake I think. I know someone who built some of his "dumpster find" guitars for him... expensive custom-built gear pretending to be junk.

Makes me wonder if he gets off stage, changes in to a finely tailored Armani suit and speaks with a posh, English "actore" accent.

One of my crap claims to fame is having bumped into Steve on the street and he definitely wasn’t wearing an Armani suit. Although, the fakery stuff is a bit tiring.
