Anyone interested in building me something like a Jake E Lee Charvel?

Hi all
  I've been struggling to find a keeper superstrat recently. I'm too old for pointy headstocks so looks-wise it has to be a bit of a sleeper!I was mulling over a Fender ultra HSS but the volume knob placement would drive me crazy. One guitar that comes close to ticking all my boxes is this;

However,although the price quoted by Charvel on that page is ok (USD 2350), there's guts of a grand added on in Europe, so no chance. So I thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone would be interested in putting together something similar for me? There's few changes I'd make, it but generally you could use the Charvel spec as a base.

If you like the Fender, why not just get a new pickguard with a different control layout?

We can build it but it won't necessarily be any cheaper for us to build custom than to buy the Charvel

It certainly wouldn't be under 2k to go custom built.

However we can go further with getting some details right such as the mix of Fretwire that Jake had - he used a wide Gibson style wire up to about the 14th fret and then switched to a narrower Fender like wire above there to make extra finger room

I was doing much the same on some of our builds back in the mid 1990s, and even got mentioned in one of Stewmac's trade secrets back then for doing so . 

A modern take on that is to use Dunlop 6100 up to about the 14th and then continue with Dunlop 6105 beyond that point

An alternative is to maybe have a secondhand stock guitar transformed as has already been alluded to, and we can certainly help with that.

I did a whitey clone some time ago.  The original is a charvel converted hardtail fender, so i did it as a parts build from hardtail strat parts 



Just a stock Warmoth hardtail body with a little rerouting





not offering to do another one.... just a reminder the JEL's was  a fairly stock guitar that got modded
