Does a Strat Neck / Headstock look weird on a Telecaster?

What the title says really...

I don't particularly like the tele headstock - but it looks just right on a Telecaster...

If you have a truly conventional and rigid mind then possibly, otherwise no.

If you have any sense of tradition and respect for history and the great designs of the past - then yes :)

Yes. It's the neck from the 'Brownie' Strat that he later put back together and used on Layla.

I have to agree and it weights very, very little. I was thinking of putting a massive Welsh Dragon decal on it but haven't yet. I've also been thinking of letting it go but I really like it!

The strat headstock is the only decent shaped headstock out there and looks right on any guitar!...

I'm sure Joe Perry had a Tele with Strat neck or was it other way around?

I was about to say that you that. you can not just buy a strat neck and fit it to a tele

TBH look don’t worry me. As long as it’s six a side, and not reversed, it gives the string tension that I want.

I think you can fit a Stratocaster neck to a telecaster.

It’s the other way round that is difficult - Since the heel of the telecaster neck has square edges that exceed the dimensions of the rounder neck pocket on a Stratocaster
