Another NGD - project this time

After yesterday's "Like a" NGD, had another courier delivery today.

Can you see what it is yet ...

After a brief discussion sparked by comments on another thread, the most generous @Fifty9 ; offered me this one.    I thought about it - very briefly - before biting his arm off.


It's another of @GSPBASSES ; "carcasses", very similar to one that I picked up a couple of years ago, which ended up like this ...



Knowing well the quality of Graham's work, I always find it difficult to walk on by when one of his pieces appears.

And sometimes I just can't walk on by at all!


This one is the usual quality piece of mahogany (1 piece body) weighing in at 6lbs 3oz (according to the handwritten note in the pickup cavity) which is a fair bit more than the white one without being anywhere near "heavy".


I have something different in mind for this latest one.  First I need to go check in the parts drawers.

    If I'd ever had a Floyd, I'd not have kept it in my parts drawer

    How can you even suggest such heresy ... a Floyd on one of Graham's LP Jrs ??

    Well, you've eliminated one possibility ...
    ;)

    I've got various P90s in the drawer, so one of them will be going in.   Unless I use the Alegree P90 sized HB.  

    Bridge - number of options, but I need to check height and stud hole diameters to decide.

    Finish -  I might use this (included in my last Crimson order, thinking that it might be useful one day)  ...


    And I've already got plenty of red stain and finishing oil.
