Somewhat on the topic of 'guitar,' I just bought a ring that is hand made from 'reclaimed' guitar strings. Looks pretty cool:

In my teenage years I made necklaces and bracelets from used flat wound strings. I wasn’t sure About round wound strings because of the saw effect if they get caught on anything. A ring should be OK though.

Reminds me of those crappy Eric Johnson guitar string "bracelets".
I know a butcher who uses a rack of lamb round his neck as a fashion statement. He also uses a string of sausages as a belt.
