These are a couple I made a few years back for an older board of mine. Enclosures are rubbed down and then labelled.
You just need an enclosure and the sockets, then wire them (teh scokets) inside together to make the patch.
Then have say guiar > patch box in, patch box out > Boss SD-1 in > SD-1 out > other pedals > delay in > delay out > patch box return in > patch box return out > amp input
The larger box is the first, and the smaller box is the other

If I were doing this, I'd buy a couple of buffer kits from Poodle Pedal Parts.
I reckon the postage would only be a couple of quid so you'd save a bit.
