Studio Lighting Advice

Hi all,

I'm looking for some advice on studio lighting. I'm building a new multi functional recording studio/teaching room and hoping to use lights which can provide bright light to reduce shadows whilst teaching, but still create a nice environment for studio work. The last one I did was nice for production/recording but felt too dark and shadowy when teaching lessons, particularly for extended periods. 

I was thinking some bright ceiling mounted lights for teaching, and uplighters/lamps for production, but I'm open to suggestions. Also looking for any specific makes/models from UK suppliers, please!
