Cheers @LooseMoose and sorry @robinbowes I missed your comment, I'm using my phone which has a tiny screen and slow but it was the motherboard which decided it wants to break

No probs - I read in your other thread that it's not a Macbook, which was what I may have been interested in

Sadly it was windows, I find workflow for all tasks better on mac but for the budget it's sadly probably windows

Sorry for the thread Hijack but MBP’s this old are still worth money ?
i ask because I’ve got 2x2011 13” MBP that are no longer being used. They’re not exactly “pristine” as my daughters were using them last and one of them has a key missing on the keyboard but one of them has been upgraded to SSD and had more RAM shoved in it. Man if they’re worth anything I’ll get them cleaned up and up for sale !

2011 machines have a justifiably bad reputation (the 15" much worse than the 13" to be fair, due to poor thermal design), but if yours are still working then you'd probably be looking at £200 or so depending on condition - more if already rocking an SSD.

As @LooseMoose said if they have a SSD and maxed out ram they are capable machines for music production, obviously not as good as new machines but good enough for people on a budget like myself.

He sorted me out a great little macbook pro and is a nice bloke to deal with.
