New Palstics Day

Thought I'd treat my beloved 60's strat to some more period accurate plastics. Relived pickgaurd with wide bevel, nylon small number knobs and aged covers.

Agreed. I don't understand why Fender CS can't get better plastics. The stuff that came on it just looks like standard plastics you'd get on a new American Standard. I did have one before that had an aged pickgaurd, that looked better, but the bevel was still wrong and the black in the middle was too thin.

Nice. Where are they from? My American Original strat would benefit from similar...

Cool set up you have there. The imperial is the best tube amp money can buy in my view. Strat ain’t bad either

Shame it's cracked. Can you get a discount?

Miles better, obviously. Fender suck at mint green. I don't know why either.

Looks great! Crazy parts plastics easily the best I’ve come across. They get the mint green just right. Charles Guitars stock a lot of their parts I think.

Oh man, that’s my favourite look on a strat. And so hard to find a red like that. What’s it called please? I only ever see CAR, Dakota, or fiesta.

Lovely, maybe looks deeper as its on a dark RW board too. Is it a closet classic?

Yes, it's a closest classic. It's not as faded as many Fiesta Red's. it looks somewhere between dakota and faded fiesta. I guess it's closer to what it would have come out like from the factory in the 60's.

i just went on their website and they sell a set of gold top hat gibson knobs for 109EUR, they look great sure, but 109EUR?

Elsewhere on the site they have another set that "embodies a world of craftsmanship filled with elegance, nostalgia, and universal emotion" but they're only 29,90EUR  :o

Strat looks great though by the way!

I know, it's a bit naff, but this is how they come. I think it looks ok, but wouldn't mind if it wasn't there either.
