The secret to a successful pinch harmonic every time?

When I play along to ZZ Top’s La Grange….I seem to get every pinch harmonic spot on during the solo….I’m not sure if it’s me of the Reverend Billy though….

Hit and miss with me really, apart from the time I got the loan of a truly wonderful CS '61 SG with the Custombuckers for a couple of days. The harmonics just jumped out of the damn thing.

Some guitars are better than others..

I was determined to improve my technique with harmonics in general and by working through this article I did (there's a link to punch harmonics near the end):

I play a much wider range of music now so possibly less use of harmonics of any type but generally I can hit them when I need to.

I also find that if my guitar has been set up properly the harmonics are easier to hit, louder and sustain better.
