Following the pickup comparison thread I did a little while back where I thought my Duncan Designed-equipped SL3X was the worst-sounding of my guitars and pretty much everyone agreed with me, I ordered a Djenerator from the really rather wonderful Ash at @OilCityPickups and fitted it today - with help from Ash, who was an absolute star throughout the whole order process, right up to me phoning him this morning with ridiculous questions.

It’s much better sounding now! More aggressive, thicker and more compressed, but much less midrange mud and a lot more clarity. It looks cool too! I’d already swapped out a couple of bits; I’m really liking how the guitar looks now.

EDIT: I also fitted a set of noiseless trem springs, which seem to work quite well so far. There’s definitely less spring noise in the second clip.
