One of my favourite tracks and fantasically played and an amazing voice on the guy.  If it's permitted to be critical though, is it me or is he pulling the drums behind him, timing-wise, in places ?

It really is a superb one take performance. That thing he does with the pick at 1m58s is great.

I think he may have a little fluff at 2m41s by hitting that all open strings chord...he smiles a few seconds later either in relief at getting through that solo or because of the tiny fluff.

I know the answer of course, but what the fuck is he doing in Bon Jovi?  He couldn't have found a more boring band if he tried.

It's probably a well paid gig compared to other more musically interesting stuff.

I’m so bored I might as well be listening to Pink Floyd

Regular, decent income in an uncertain world, a fairly easy gig for him, worldwide exposure and it probably won't look too bad on his CV either.

Phil X is great, the embodiment of American rock. First saw him doing Norm's style vintage guitar videos. He's just got that genuine, almost child-like enthusiasm for guitar music, kind of like Dave Grohl but not as famous.

And of course, he can absolutely tear it up but in a tasteful way.

Amazing, I loved him at the Guitar Show, and definitely an inspiration. Cracking bloke too.

That looked like a lot of fun, and certainly sounded like a lot of fun.

Loved him in Fretted Americana back in the early 2010s. Bon Jovi gig is perfect for him. Must get six figures for every tour to play melodic songs that will be quite easy for him to play.

His Drills stuff is great too.

His talents are very much wasted in Bon Jovi. And it doesn't seem like he even gets to record any decent stuff on their recent studio albums after Richie left.

Hmm, I also chose to focus on playing guitar rather than decorating my house tastefully. But I didn't get that good.

Am I the only one tittering at DP references? I am?  B)

Awesome performance and interesting way of playing the organ solo with sweep picking.  I've been learning it very differently but like this a lot.
