Adjusting knob pointers on a 335

I'm OCD and the pointers on my 335 don't point where I want'em to point

I'm a bit loathed to loosen them off to turn the pointers for fear of not being able to hold the pot in place as I nip them back up and they are too solidly on to move without loosening

Any tips on how to keep the put still from above to tighten or will I get away if juuuust a little loosening without issues nipping them back up

Yes, I know it's totally not needed, but OCD, as I said :-)

Just loosen the nuts *just* enough to move them.
