Love him just casually crossing the road with the lump of timber in his hand.

That's how he rolls! It reminds me of picking up some tunes from a record shop before having some beers. Do you think artisan luthiers casually discuss their rare and random finds over a frothy beer?

It's lovely that they have made a film about the shop.
It's also a lovely concept that he uses the old timbers for his builds.
However I would say to you need to see up close & play the finished instrument before thinking about laying out any money with these guitars.
They are unusual and of "unique" character and build quality.
Having worked on a couple of the Kelly guitars, that is the most sensible advice I would give.

Many guitars have a re-sale value. Some you'll never want to sell.
Stockist of: Earvana & Graphtech nuts, Faber Tonepros & Gotoh hardware, Fatcat bridges. Highwood Saddles.

Pickups from BKP, Oil City & Monty's pickups.

I can’t believe I used to live round the corner from there and never went in. I wasn’t as guitar obsessed in those days and really liked Matt Uminovs so used to go there.

He mentioned Dylan’s Chumleys wood guitar which brings back some memories as I used to drink in there a lot . I’m now actively gassing for one of his Chumleys wood Teles as a lovely link to what feels like a past life for me now.

That's far too diplomatic lol. I've been in the shop and had the workshop tour.....OMG. They're not for me, perfectionists walk away. Super nice guy and an incredibly historic part of NY's guitar culture though.

OP.....Its CARMINE street and not CARMEN btw ;)

I think you can see all that in the vid and pics.

I like the use of reclaimed woods, often left rough, in the body.  I really struggle when I see significant knots in a neck or fretboard. it's never going to end well

Often it looks like they just whittle a guitar out of those planks without actually measuring anything.

I quite like some of Cindy's pyrography though...  Although not all of it.

Super cool. Would love to own one, many of my favourite players use them.
