After something Lixarto said regarding a picture he found with his tele 25 years ago.
How about showing some of your first pics playing guitar.
Here is on of my first gigs with my old mans band about 78-79

http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i278/bargoedboy/oldmansband.jpg I am on the Antoria J300 copy. Not even sure if I was plugged in.

I'm in the middle, with a borrowed Strat copy because the other guitar player stepped on my lead and ripped the pickguard-mounted jack socket on my Satellite. I think I was 15, the others are a year or so younger.

The drummer is none other than Gruff Rhys by the way!

This is a very scrawny and hairy me in 2005 playing the best telecaster I ever owned in my first band at summer sundae festival.

1991 - 16 years old, with my first 'proper' guitar (though that is debatable) standing in the back garden.Saved for what seemed like years to afford it (though realistically it was about 4 months) image

Appearances can be deceptive, but we knew no better then!

It started out as one of these,
    image
and then one of the PUs died, so I swapped it for a cheap 70s no name humbucker after hacking out the top with a key hole saw!. A while later I replaced the front single coil with another cheap humbucker and hacked a further hole to put the single coil in the middle. one mini toggle switch was added then too. The trem arm was useless so I just took out the naff spring and put in a block of hardwood and removed the arm. I learned a lot (both playing and updating) with that guitar, it was a valuable tool which I carelessly  sold for £15 some time later. I was given my first semi pro lead guitarists job despite the guitar so it wasn't all bad. The neck was super slim and I thought it was OK until I got a job and a proper guitar which showed it for what it really was. I think I might have put in a bridge post too but it was over 35 years ago and my thingy isn't whatsit.

Me in 1983/84  heavily under the Duran Duran influence and no doubt some mushrooms or other hallucinogen, John Taylor Hair, and frilly shirt were far more important than the vox bass I was playing at the time. It was all about the Girls

Here's some of me from the 90s captured from video. Top 2 are with a Yamaha RGZ621 which I've mentioned here before, bottom left MIJ 62RI strat (although you'd be hard pressed to tell) and bottom right with a Gordon Smith a few years later with less hair (1996 at a guess)
