New guitar day today, it's my 50th birthday this year so i thought i would treat myself to a new Gibson Les Paul R9 60th

First impressions are good, it's also lighter than my other pauls so this one must be 8 pounds or 8.5 pounds, i have an 2001 R8 that weighs 8.5 pound and this feels a tad lighter. Rings great un plugged.

Neck shape is gorgeous, and a bit slimmer than my other pauls, i believe this neck profile on the 60th R9's is based one carmelita neck profile

Haven't plugged it in yet, saving that for tonight with a couple of Beers.
