New neck day! Courtesy of @lovestrat74 ...

Lovely chunky V to the neck, which is Allparts finished by MJT. The body is from 42nd St Guitars. Together it all comes in just over 7 lbs.

Happy!

With the caveats that I also changed the guard so the pickups won’t be exactly the same height, and I’m comparing to the memory of what it sounded like before, I would say I can tell a difference. My favourite thing to do on a Strat is use the neck pick up and pick right by the bridge to get a T-bone Walker sound. Some Strats do it better than others. It did it ok with the old neck, and better now.

It also feels loads better to have a very thin nitro finish compared to the previous Classic Series Fender plastic entombment. I just have no tolerance for anything other than thin finishes these days.

    Cool.

Have never owned a maple fingerboard guitar. Would love to A/B rw and maple model of the same guitar at some point.
