Anyone used an iRig 2 with an iPad?

I was contemplating picking up a tiny desktop amp ( Blackstar Fly 3 or similar) for ( shockingly enough) putting on my desk so I could noodle while the the family are otherwise occupying where I'd usually play.

But seeing as this would exclusively be used with headphones, I then though maybe the likes of the iRig 2 ( just the analogue one, not the HD 2) might be a more useful ( and cheaper ) option, especially as I have the iPad sitting on the aforementioned desk.

Has anyone here used the iRig 2? Is it worth the £30 odd quid it would cost?

I’ve got an iRig (the original version not the 2) that I used with an iPad that I used with headphones.

Did the job perfectly although, depending what effects you wanted to use, you may find the inbuilt ones limited.

I also used it with Mooer’s GE Labs software.

I use one with GarageBand and Bias amp works well.  Also use JamUp and you can edit/import the amps from bias amp into it.
