play chord says dead note on app.

i use this guitar app and im playing a chord how i learn but the app says its a dead note. I dont understand why cause it looks like im doing it right and my strings are tuned. would really appreciate if someone can help me cause can't go further with learning if dont get this right

Throw the app away and go to justinguitar.com and learn from there. 

Much better. 

Ideally you want to learn by being able to listen to what something should sound like. Have a diagram and the visual element and tips on what to do. 

Then when you can play a chord and it sounds the same as what you’ve heard, its right.
