This one has an almost ebony fretboard. That alone is worth £1000 but he discounted it for you.....

I’ve got a Squier Stratocaster with an almost almost almost ebony fretboard and I’ll sell it to you for a mere £800.

Oh that 25/50- I’ve seen that on eBay before as well. 

But it’s worth clinking on the link to the listing just to scroll through the pics and read Neville Marten’s article about it from an 80s issue of Guitarist. 

That was a really well written magazine back then  (not knocking the newest integration BTW- haven’t read Guitarist in 15 or so years).

Ah, Tim Gentle Music.  They were around - with that same caveman logo - when I bought my first guitar in 1982.  When you look at everything else in their eBay shop it's like time stopped in 1980.

Are you from that neck of the woods Philly_Q? I actually can't recall Tim Gentle Music that well, but used to go Bandland (another shop that felt like a time warp) or Middlesbrough Music Centre mostly (I remember Tony with his giant finger nails in there quite vividly, think he was called Tony anyway!).
