Don't see these often

What's Hot
I wanted one a while back but the one I tried had terrible QC, rough edges, sharp frets, a very dry fingerboard and the body had marks on it as if it had been scraped at the factory?

It just looks so cool! Anyone had one?

Never seen one of those before, but the issues that you mention at least provide reassurance that it's a real Gibson.

  • Gotta say, I'm not sure it'll hold tuning with a floating bridge and the strings all being so angled from the nut...

It’s not the worst Gibson ever...

    The Firewood X is.

But this is a contender for second place.

The Tune-o-matic bridge is not floating. Unless filed nicely, its saddles present excellent opportunities for the strings to snag. So, of course, do the nut slots.

The short Vibrola is the bit that moves. It is a very simple device, good for gentle Jazzmaster/Jaguar shimmery wobbles but quite incapable of holding tune after dive-bombing stunts.
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

I had no idea those existed. It’s one of those that I’d have to try, but I have to say that vibrato unit doesn’t fill me with confidence that I’d make it out the other side of a number in tune.

Aha... it's come to me now... what it vaguely reminds me of.

An electric version of one of these:

I think its a pretty solid design.   Nice proportions and curves.   F-holes could maybe do with a little more thought, simple Trini style diamonds would be perfect

Sort of reminds me of a Westone, not that's a bad thing. Hell of a case, I don't think Westone ever did those!

They should make the block inlays much bigger, I can barely see them - from 3 miles away!
