I played in a cricket team in east London run by Paul Weekes’ (Middlesex) Dad in the late 80s.  when he found out my surname was Everton, I then became Everton Weekes for the few years I played for the team. I think it was quite an honour

Very underrated.  Don't understand why he isn't rated up there with Richards, Lara, Headley etc.

His playing career was well before my time, but I remember hearing him on commentary when the Windies toured.
