Which pickups?

Hi, I've got a Epiphone ES 335 Pro and looking to change the pickups. Looking for nice warm vintage style that can get a nice clean jazzy tone, the ones that came with it are ok but a bit bright for my liking. I've tried using the tone knobs which helps but I just don't like the sound of the pickups. Don't really want to spend a fortune but at the same time don't want anything cheap. Any suggestions?

Turn your tone knob down. Sorry to be flippant but you might want that brightness when you need to cut through at a jam. Bright guitars over dull guitars everyday

If the current pickups are not too overwound then have you tried working with the tone controls. You havent mentioned a budget so either swap the magnets to alnico iis or if ask someone like @OilCityPickups ;

Yes I've already done that and it does help a bit but I still dont like the pickups.

great service, reasonably priced, sound beautiful. I had some Evocation paf-alikes in my LP, beautiful smooth tone. Pretty sure his return policy says that if you’re not happy you can return for a swap or refund.

I would do Seth Lovers and replace the tone knobs with something more linear & precise than what comes stock.
