I cant remember the last time I broke a string, or tried any other brand than EB. Last few batches seemed to corrode quite quickly though, so maybe quality has dropped off.
I started using skinny top heavy bottom a few years back and haven't looked for another brand, anyone else do a 10-52 set?

I use 10-52 on my guitars. Mostly D'addario, but I've used @FelineGuitars  strings a few times too and I like them
Too much gain... is just about enough \m/

I'm probably the only member of this forum mentioned by name in Whiskey in the Jar ;)

No! Not ebay. There are too many fake strings being sold.

I ve used EB for 30 years.  Tried some d'addario recently and various strings unwound at the ball end after a few sessions.  Rubbish.

Are you sure they were genuine?  As @Roland said, there are a lot of fakes out there.  I've been using D'Addarios for 25 years or more, and I've never had that happen.

Likewise - used D’Addarios for around 25 years and never had a single problem. They’re unbelievably consistent in my experience.

It’s partly due to skin chemistry too for string longevity.

I don’t like any other brand of string other than EB ( well some dean markleys are ok).

They hold tune and last ages for me.
I honestly dislike d’addarios they feel cheap and plinky to me. I take em of right away if I see those coloured ball ends on a new guitar.

    I'm pretty much the same.
EB super slinky strings just work for me, probably the only time in my life where I haven't had to shell out for the more expensive options.

I've always found that Ernie Ball strings sound very bright when brand new but go dull much more quickly than other makes.
I use them on bass for that very reason - I prefer the sound of old worn in strings, but on guitar I've gone with Elixirs because any slight deficiencies in tone is made up for by the long life.

I use them sometimes. And sometimes I use Ernie Ball's and sometimes I use D'Addadario and sometimes I use Mangan. I don't notice too much difference.
