David Torn is amazing

What's Hot
He makes his electric guitar sound like someone  playing slide acoustic
in this clip.

I might have to bust out the whammy bar and get practising.

Oh, do keep up at the back, Molesworth Minor.

I like the technique when he shouts into the pickups and loops the result.

    Recommended listening:
    Cloud About Mercury
    Polytown
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

He puts a lot of interesting stuff up on his FB.

See also: Dan Phelps, Mike Bagetta (influenced by Torn but voices of their own).

Tripping over God is another good record.

He's amazing. Saw him live with Tim Berne and Ches Smith improvising in November. His Koll Tornado (now owned by Phelps) is a seriously awesome guitar. Prezens made a big impact on me.

I saw him live once when he supported David Sylvian & Robert Fripp at the Royal Albert Hall in about 1993.   You've reminded me that I need to re-aquaint myself with him.
