To you guys with the experience.....With a strymon 'verb and delay on board ( FOA ) it requires constant tweaking to accommodate whichever channel on the amp i am using for the OD pedal, rhythm or crunch channel

for instance if i am using the rhythm channel for a particular OD and then try that setting with the OD in the crunch channel, delay level settings are all over the place

The other thing is ..is there a gizmo these days that will drop my guitar tuning so the singer can get his pipes around Alright now whilst i stay in A 440 friendly guitar chord land?

Thanks guys

If the dirt is after your delay then yeah the settings will be all over the place, getting the delay \ verb  into the amp loop will stop that although sometimes the best most interesting delays are pre dirt

For gigging a low of bands tune down a semitone all round on every instrument. Songs that are just reachable then become easily reachable and everythings easier. So my advice is just play a semitone down from concert

Using the delay and verb in the loop will help with the level issues.

Dirt is before delay but if i then switch to amps crunch channel tones for a pedal platform all the level setting for delay are hopeless

    That's it.

If you add distortion after a delay the levels will go all over the place.

You either need to get it in the loop or have multiple patches.

Kingsley ODs on floor into delay and reverb on floor FOA

I have a boogie with two wonderful channels.....rhythm channel and crunch channel

Level setting for delay that work well with rhythm channel are naff with crunch channel and i was wondering if using the timeline do folk save numerous patches for all this stuff?

    I would have thought so.

Unless you have a MIDI set up that can switch your amp and patches at the same time it's going to be a ball ache because you are going to be tap dancing all over the place.

Do the FX loops manage the delay level well no matter the overdrive...either floor pedal overdrive or amp's own overdrive?

how would i tune the strymons into a FX loop....boogie series loop with simple in and out?

it would be 10 foot cable there and back of course

If you think about the amps pre amp as being like a fancy distortion pedal it's just like putting the delay after the distortion.
