I got this guitar from Charlie Chandler's Guitar Experience in Hampton Wick in Spring 2008 for £380 - it was pretty mint and obviously an absolute bargain. I think they thought it was a Tribute but it is in fact a US G&L. I used it for a lot of gigging in my band at that time and really bonded with the guitar. In 2011 I was 25, living in an expensive flat in Shepherd's Bush, in a desperately unhappy relationship and had a rubbish job. It was a low point in my life and in about October 2011 I had to sell this guitar to help pay the rent and keep my head above water. It was my favourite guitar and I regretted it bitterly afterwards and always dreamed of owning it again. In 2014, before moving to Berlin, I posted a thread on the fretboard asking if anyone knew where it was - I think
@photek had had it at some point...is that right? But unfortunately no one knew where it was.
Fast forward to last week and I get a PM through here telling me someone on a UK facebook guitar group had seen my ancient thread from 2014 by chance when looking for info on the guitar and was now keen to sell the guitar back to me. Well, unfortunately, I was just about to get on the plane to Germany, but true to his word, Joshua did sell it back to me and I finally have it in my hands! It's a crazy feeling to have a guitar back that you loved so much, and it really is every bit as cool as I remember it, with the added bonus of quite a few new battle scars. I have no idea who else has had it in the last 9 years, but I know the last guy also did a lot of gigging and recorded with it - so cool! It also came back in a G&L hardcase, which it never had when I owned it!
Anyway, here's a pic and I'm off to play:

Presumably all the other life stuff is in a better place too, so yay for that too.
Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.

Congratulations, it's a lovely guitar and a great story!
