Good rant....there was a similar Rick Beato one the other day, it does seem to be getting worse.

There was almost another rant at this end because Mrs Musicwolf has just walked in to tell me that she's off out to singlehandedly reboot the retail economy, seen the video playing, and shouted (almost screamed) “what the fuck is that?!!!”

He's not done himself any favours with that video. A better approach might have been to get himself a script or some bullet points so as to avoid the oft-repeated "11 seconds".

It’s bloody silly currently.

Another example: to get folks creative during lockdown, Steven Wilson released the stems to his song Personal Shopper, and set up a competition for folks to remix it. The idea was you’d upload it to your Soundcloud account and ping him a link...
Problem was Soundcloud blocked you from sharing it for copyright infringement to Steven Wilson.
Even though he was the owner of the copyright, he could not overturn their judgments!
So we all had to upload to WeTransfer instead and only the winners ever got heard...

Utterly fucking moronic.

And as for Facebook blocking a video of my (then) three year old son dancing to Kasabian... <shakes head>
