The USA has no Federal RoHS legislation.

The State of California has implemented it's own RoHS legislation for consumer electronics, and it's likely that other states will follow.

There are still several exemptions from RoHS even in the EU.

These include Aerospace and Military applications

Given the predominance of the US in both these industries, and the life cycle of the kit involved, it's very unlikely that leaded solder will be with drawn from sale anytime soon.
